Eyebrow Waxing

Precise eyebrow shaping technique
Eyebrow waxing is a meticulous hair removal method that shapes and defines brows for a well-groomed, symmetrical appearance. The process involves applying warm wax to unwanted hair, which is then quickly removed, followed by the application of a soothing gel.

This technique offers long-lasting results, typically requiring maintenance every 3 to 4 weeks. While there may be brief discomfort during hair removal, the process is generally quick and efficient. Proper preparation and aftercare, including avoiding products and sun exposure around the treatment area, ensure optimal results.

For a more comprehensive treatment, eyebrow waxing can be combined with tinting. This adds depth and intensity to the brows, enhancing the shape created by waxing and reducing the need for daily makeup application.

Frequently Asked Questions

Hot waxing is a gentler hair removal method that is particularly effective for sensitive areas such as the bikini line, underarms, and face. During the treatment, hot wax is applied to the skin, allowing it to shrink-wrap around the hairs without sticking to the skin. Once cooled, the wax is removed, pulling the hairs from the root. This method leaves the skin smooth and hair-free for up to six weeks.

Hot waxing is much less painful than traditional waxing methods. The wax only adheres to the hair, not the skin, which reduces discomfort. Any pain felt during the treatment is brief and minimal, and there is no lingering stinging sensation afterward.

Hot waxing can keep you hair-free for up to six weeks, depending on your hair growth cycle. Regular treatments may extend the time between sessions as hair regrows finer and slower over time.

Hot waxing is ideal for sensitive areas like the bikini line, underarms, and face. However, it can be used on most parts of the body, including legs, arms, and back, for smooth, long-lasting results.

To prepare for waxing, stop shaving or using hair removal creams at least two weeks before your appointment. Exfoliate your skin to remove dead cells and free any trapped hairs. Avoid applying moisturiser on the day of your appointment, as it can affect the wax's effectiveness.

After waxing, your skin may appear slightly red or have a "plucked chicken" look, which is normal. Minor bleeding may occur if the hairs are thick, but this should subside within 24 hours. Applying a soothing gel will help reduce any redness and swelling.

You can schedule hot waxing sessions as frequently as every three weeks, thanks to its ability to remove very short hairs (as short as 1mm). Regular appointments ensure you maintain consistently smooth skin.

After waxing, avoid exposing the waxed area to heat, such as sunbathing, hot baths, or saunas, for 24 hours. Refrain from using perfumed products and, if you’ve waxed your underarms, avoid deodorants for 24 hours to allow the skin to heal properly.

Hot waxing minimises the risk of ingrown hairs because it removes the hair directly from the root. However, some people may still be prone to them, particularly in the bikini area. Regular exfoliation helps prevent and manage ingrown hairs as the hair regrows.

It’s best to schedule your waxing appointment 2-3 days before your holiday. This allows time for any redness or sensitivity to subside. If you're planning a spray tan, wait 24 hours after waxing to ensure the wax doesn't interfere with the tanning process.
